Continental® is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2025 Aviation Technician Advanced Training Program. This comprehensive training includes specialized paths for Continental® Avgas and Jet-A piston engines. The curriculum provides in-depth engine knowledge and maintenance practices for pilots, owners, A&P mechanics, IA-certified mechanics, and instructors eager to expand their expertise.
The Avgas course is available in two levels: Level 1 focuses on gasoline piston engine theory, components and systems, and best maintenance practices, while Level 2 builds on this foundation through hands-on instruction. Both levels provide extensive knowledge and meet FAA requirements for qualified attendees to gain IA renewal credits. Each five-day course is led by Continental’s highly experienced engine experts and includes a comprehensive tour of the manufacturing facility.
Similarly, the Jet-A courses are valuable for aviation enthusiasts seeking to understand the benefits of flying behind a Jet-A engine. Offered over five days, Level 1 is a comprehensive review of the engine including the Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), engine performance, and knowledge to interpret the engine’s diagnostic report. Level 2, a four-day course, reinforces essential maintenance and diagnostic isolation skills.
Training sessions are hosted at Continental’s factory locations in Mobile, Alabama, and Sankt Egidien, Germany. However, Continental® recently expanded its training program to include on-site training at a shop near you.
