The team at Continental Aerospace Technologies GmbH, along with their families, recently got together to have a celebration at our facility in Altenburg, Germany. The Continental® team gathered at the Altenburg/Nobitz airfield to enjoy various attractions, including sightseeing flights.
During the daylong event, attendees could take advantage of flying in six different aircraft. The local discovery flights allowed the team and their family to experience the joys of flight. While taking in the regional views, the team got to hear the engine’s roar and experience what it is like flying behind a Continental engine. It was a special moment for team members to share their work experiences and passion with their family members.
One of the six aircraft flown at the event was a DA50 RG. Diamond Aircraft’s DA50 RG is powered by a Continental® CD-300 engine built by the team in Germany. The team was thrilled to admire the aircraft and Jet-A engine installation at a close range.
In addition to views from above, attendees enjoyed various culinary delicacies while listening to musical entertainment. There was also an extensive entertainment program for the children, including pony riding and more.
For the Continental® team and their families, this marked a memorable day that we hope inspires the next generation of aviators and future team members.
