Oshkosh, WI, United States, July 26, 2016 – United Turbine, a Continental Motors Services division and Glades AG Services announced today that they had signed a contract naming United Turbine as the sole MRO provider for the PT6 powered Air Tractor fleet operatedby Glades AG.
Founded in 1975 by Jim Busby, Glades AG Services specializes in the aerial application of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and dry or liquid fertilizers. With four Air Tractors, the family business, out of Belle Glade, FL, covers the needs for agricultural spraying services for the Glades area of Florida.
“The quality of the service we provide depends on two main factors: our capacity to be on time and our ability to spray the right product at the right location. It is vital for us that our fleet of four Air Tractors are on site and on time. We need our aircraft up to the task, every day. We analyzed the market and the options open to us and came to the conclusion that UT was the right choice for us. The seven year or TBO warranty on PT6 overhauls, their fast turn around times were another important factor in our decision when combined with the quality of their work”, said Jamie Busby, the second generation CEO of the company.
Based in Medley, FL, 7 miles from Miami International Airport, United Turbine works on a global scale, having clients in the on all continents. The company has received FAR-145 certification from the FAA, PART-145 certification from EASA and is the holder of certifications from the National Aviation Authorities of the Seychelles and Venezuela. People Republic of China CAAC certification is currently pending.
